Information We Collect

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign in with Apple or Google. Guest accounts do not require this.
• Workout data you create — plans, exercises, sets, reps, weights, and notes.
• Meals and nutrition you log — foods, portions, calories, and macros, plus any meal photo or text description you submit for AI analysis.
• Health metrics — heart rate, active energy, workouts, and body weight from Apple Health, only with your permission.
• Diagnostic data — aggregated crash and usage data to keep the app reliable.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and sync the app across your devices, save and display your workout history and progress, process subscriptions, and improve reliability and performance. We do not sell your personal information.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, WristSet reads and writes data through Apple HealthKit so your activity stays in Apple Health: it reads heart rate, active energy, workouts, and body weight, and writes workouts and the nutrition you log (dietary energy and macronutrients). HealthKit data is used only to provide app features and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties. You control these permissions in the Health app at any time.

Account and Authentication

You can sign in with Apple, Google, or continue as a guest. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We store only the account identifiers needed to sync your data.

Data Storage and Sync

Your account and workout data are stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and synced to your signed-in devices.

Advertising

If you have not purchased Premium, the app may show ads via Google AdMob. Purchasing Premium removes ads. Ad providers may use device advertising identifiers as described in their own policies.

Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

AI Plan Import

When you import a plan from a photo or text, the content you submit is sent to our secure Cloud Function and processed by a third-party AI model to extract exercises and build a structured plan. It is used only for that purpose.

AI Meal Analysis

When you log a meal by taking a photo or entering a description, the image or text is sent to a third-party AI service to estimate the food, portion size, and nutrition (calories and macros). It is used only to return that estimate for you — it is not used for advertising, and we do not sell it. You can always log meals manually instead.

Diagnostics and Analytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to collect aggregated diagnostic and usage information that helps us fix bugs and improve the app.

Third-Party Services

We rely on Apple (App Store, HealthKit), Google Firebase and AdMob, Open Food Facts for packaged-food barcode lookups, and AI providers including Google, xAI, and DeepSeek for meal and plan analysis. Open Food Facts receives the barcode you scan to return product and nutrition data. AI providers receive only the meal photo, description, or plan content you submit in order to return the requested result. Each provider's handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

We keep your data while you use the app and for a reasonable period afterward. When you delete your account, your account and associated data are removed.

Your Choices and Deletion

You can delete your account and data from within the app (Settings), which performs a server-side deletion, or contact us for help. You can manage Apple Health permissions in the Health app and ad/tracking settings in iOS Settings.

Children's Privacy

WristSet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Feedback You Submit

If you send feedback through our website form, we store your message — and your email address and any screenshot, if you provide them — using Firebase and email it to our support address so we can respond and improve the app. This information is used only for that purpose.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest version.
